Prior Park Weddings - A grand and picturesque setting for your special day!

Updated: May 25, 2023

Are you looking for a stunning wedding venue with a breathtaking view? Prior Park is for you! An 18th century Georgian mansion located in Bath, England.

This National Trust site offers a unique and beautiful setting for your special day. As a wedding photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of so many amazing and intimate moments in my career but having the pleasure of capturing Chloe & Jamie's big day at Prior Park was a privilege.

With Chloe’s involvement in the events planning industry, the couple's attention to detail in their wedding planning was evident in every aspect, starting with the 1920's Gatsby-inspired elegant Art Deco bridal suite.

After a morning of giddy excitement and subtle nerves, we finished off preparations with a bridal photoshoot – it was time to set off to the grand venue itself!

The ceremony took place in the Great Hall, surrounded by high ceilings and tall windows, they tied the knot with an ‘I do’ each and quick signature to make it official. Then a short stroll through the hall’s immense pillars and you’re outside, immersed in a stunning view of the Bath skyline, including the famous Palladian Bridge at the bottom of the horizon (for any of you Netflix Bridgerton lovers out there!).

The couple really set the tone for dress sense! Chloe, wearing a long-sleeve mermaid style wedding dress, and Jamie keeping it classy in a black tuxedo.

Once the wedding breakfast had finished, the guests enjoyed an afternoon of jazz music and fan-dancing, keeping with the 1920’s theme, leading up to cocktails and a reception that carried on into the night.

One of my personal highlights of Chloe & Jamie’s wedding was the sunset photoshoot, as the serene lakes and tranquil woods of Prior Park provide the perfect backdrop for romantic photos and a chance to get those picture perfect moments you’ll cherish forever. I am filled with confidence that Chloe and Jamie's marriage will be one of love and happiness, just as their wedding day was!

If you’re planning a wedding at Prior Park, my advice as a professional wedding photographer would be to make the most of its natural beauty. It’s grand appearance and stunning grounds can leave you speechless. The big open spaces with an abundance of natural light does wonders for photography. It’s a wedding venue that has so much to offer, regardless of weather, as every corner has something new to showcase.

And finally, BE SURE to get permission from the national trust for a photoshoot on the Palladium Bridge, it’s very easy, just do it before your big day!
