BRIDAL PREP is my favourite part of a wedding day for many reasons.

Excited bridesmaids, nervous brides, and happy parents - it’s just full of lovely things.

A really important part of this is your bridal portraits - those stunning photo’s of you when you’re completely ready in your wedding dress, bridal hair and makeup complete, just before you head off down the aisle.

I think it’s great to aim to be ready a minimum of 45 minutes before you’re due to leave.

- Time for first reveals with bridesmaids, parents, or loved ones.
- Time for your stunning bridal portraits.
- Time to make sure you have all your things to go without rushing!

It’s a well-known saying that the bride is supposed to be late, and be that as it may, please don’t sacrifice these for it!

January! I've been a little quieter on here than I'd planned to be. I caught up with some editing, submitted some of last years weddings for features and managed to get a little holiday in France. Then finished it off with the first wedding of the year at The Old Kent Barn this week.

People often ask me what my favourite part of capturing a wedding is. For me, it's morning prep. Everyone is excited and having a great time with friends, with a little hint of nervousness, slowly rising as the clock ticks by and everything starts to feel a little more real.
